The Indians began in 1993 under the direction of Phyllis Scott. That season, Keller went 30-10, finishing second in the district. With Scott, the Indians went to state again in 1996 and 1997, finishing in the state semifinals and state final. Scott would reach three more seasons and finish with a record of 172-79 in seven seasons. 

George Caddell took over and coached for two seasons, compiling 24-10 and 21-9-1 records with playoff appearances both times. 

Mo Fritz came aboard and led Keller to its first two state titles in 2003 and 2005. The Indians went 35-5 in 2003 and 35-2 in 2005 along with the title NFCA/USA Today National Champions. Fritz ended her long career in 2008 with a record of 107-41-3. 

Lindsay Wilhelmson-Strong took over and continued to coach for the next 5 seasons. Under her, Keller won four district titles and clinched a playoff spot every year. Wilhelmson-Strong led the Indians to a record of 144-27-3. 

Keller returned to state and took home the 6A title with coach Bryan Poehler in 2016 and 2017 with a record of 119-29-1 in four seasons with three trips to the regional finals. 

In 2018, Christina Gwyn-Barton took over and has remained the head coach for the Indians. Being a part of the 2003 state team, she brings exceptional leadership and experience to our program.
